Terms and Conditions

Last updated: please refer to the date of your most recent visit to this page. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Jeduwo website and the Jeduwo mobile application for budget planning for couples (together, the "Service"). Please read them carefully before placing an order or creating an account. By using the Service or placing an order, you confirm that you accept these Terms.

1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

The Service is provided by Jeduwo ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at any time using the details below:

When you contact us by email we aim to reply within a reasonable time, normally within five working days. If we need to contact you, we will use the email address or phone number you gave us when you registered or placed your order.

2. About the Service

Jeduwo offers a mobile application that helps young couples plan, share and track a household budget. The application is a planning tool only. It does not provide regulated financial, investment, tax, credit or legal advice, and nothing in the Service should be treated as such. Decisions you make about your money are your own, and you should seek independent professional advice where appropriate.

3. Eligibility and Your Account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under the laws of the United Kingdom to place an order. Where the Service allows two partners to share a budget, each partner is responsible for their own account and for the accuracy of the information they enter. You agree to keep your login details confidential and to tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect your account has been used without your permission.

4. How an Order Is Placed and Confirmed

Placing an order with Jeduwo follows these steps:

  1. You select the plan or product you wish to purchase and follow the on-screen instructions.
  2. Before you submit, you will be shown a summary of your order, including the price and any applicable taxes, and you will have the opportunity to check and correct any input errors.
  3. By clicking the final order button you make an offer to purchase from us. This is not yet an acceptance of your order.
  4. We will send an acknowledgement to your email address. A contract between you and Jeduwo is formed only when we send you an order confirmation by email or display a confirmation page confirming that your order has been accepted.

We may decline an order, for example where the Service is unavailable, where we identify a pricing error, or where we reasonably suspect fraud. If we decline an order after taking payment, we will refund you in full without undue delay.

5. Prices, Payment and What Is Included

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and, where applicable, include VAT at the prevailing rate. The price you pay is the price displayed at the time you place your order. We will tell you before you order if any additional charges apply; we do not add hidden fees.

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, please contact us at [email protected] and we will investigate promptly.

6. Cancellation and Your Statutory Rights

6.1 Right to cancel

If you are a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 give you certain rights. For digital content and services bought online, you normally have the right to cancel within 14 days of the contract being formed, without giving a reason.

6.2 Starting the Service during the cancellation period

If you ask us to begin providing the Service within the 14-day period, you agree that if you then cancel, we may deduct from your refund a proportionate amount for the Service already provided up to the time you told us you wished to cancel. Where digital content has been made available and you have expressly consented to immediate access and acknowledged that you lose your right to cancel once it begins, you will have been asked to confirm this before purchase.

6.3 How to cancel

To cancel, send a clear statement of your decision to [email protected], or write to us at 119 Warwick Road, Birmingham, B69 6FT. You may also telephone us on +44 121 423 2200. We will confirm receipt of your cancellation and process any refund without undue delay and within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the same payment method you used for the order.

6.4 Ending a subscription

You may stop a recurring subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless you are entitled to a refund under this section or by law. You will keep access to the Service until that period ends.

7. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of the Service, we want to hear about it so we can put it right. Please send your complaint to [email protected] or write to Jeduwo, 119 Warwick Road, Birmingham, B69 6FT, giving your name, the email address on your account and a description of the problem.

Making a complaint does not affect your legal rights, and you remain free to seek advice from a consumer advice service or to take your dispute to the courts.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal purposes. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' data, interfere with its operation, copy or resell it, reverse engineer the application except as permitted by law, or use it to store unlawful content. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, and where reasonably possible we will tell you why.

9. Intellectual Property

All rights in the application, the website, our branding, software, design and content belong to Jeduwo or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the application for your own personal budgeting for as long as your contract with us continues. The financial figures and notes you enter remain yours.

10. Your Data, Privacy and Cookies

We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. We act as the controller of the personal data you give us. The information we hold, why we use it and how long we keep it are explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your understanding of how the Service works.

You have rights under UK data protection law, including the rights to be informed, to access your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection.

11. Availability and Changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service available and free of errors, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, update features or make changes needed for legal, security or technical reasons. Where a change materially reduces what you paid for, we will give you reasonable notice and, where the law requires, a right to end your contract and receive an appropriate refund.

12. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Subject to the above:

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in the Service. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order. If we make a material change that affects an ongoing subscription, we will notify you by email in advance of it taking effect.

14. General

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live. Mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live are not affected.

16. Contact

For any question about these Terms, an order, a cancellation, a complaint or a data request, please contact Jeduwo at [email protected], by telephone on +44 121 423 2200, or by post at 119 Warwick Road, Birmingham, B69 6FT, United Kingdom.
